Opportunity:
The Xiang lab aims to conduct long-term fundamental and applied research on rechargeable secondary batteries (Li-ion and Na-ion batteries). The group focuses on the development of advanced characterization techniques with high spatial and temporal resolution, such as in situ electrochemical solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (Nat. Nanotech. 2020, Nat. Commun. 2022), high-resolution magic-angle spinning NMR, and mass spectrometry titration techniques (Sci. Adv. 2021, Nat. Commun. 2022). These techniques are used to explore the structure-property relationships of battery materials and to conduct real-time, quantitative analysis of the failure processes in high-energy batteries.
Our group is continuously recruiting PhD students, research assistants and postdoctoral researchers. We welcome individuals interested in our research to join our team!
