On December 23, 2025, Professor Biao Li from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Peking University was invited by Professor Yuxuan Xiang to attend the Materials Colloquium at the School of Engineering, Westlake University. Prof. Biao Li delivered an academic lecture titled "Charge Transfer Mechanisms and Material Design for High-Capacity Cathodes in Lithium-Ion Batteries". Prof. Li systematically presented the latest advancements made by his research team in the study and design of high-capacity cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. He emphasized the regulatory mechanisms of reversible anion reactions in lithium-rich cathode materials. This work provides new insights for understanding the electrochemical behavior of high-energy-density cathode materials and offers valuable guidance for designing novel high-energy-density electrode materials.
