On October 22, 2026, invited by Dr. Yuxuan Xiang, Prof. Feiyu Kang from Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School attended the Materials Colloquium of the School of Engineering and delivered an academic lecture entitled "Novel Principles and Key Materials of Intrinsically Safe Secondary Batteries".

Prof. Feiyu Kang has long been dedicated to research on high-safety batteries and key materials. Focusing on three core directions--new intrinsically safe aqueous zinc-ion battery systems, plastic interface design for solid-state batteries, and interlayer regulation of natural graphite anodes--he systematically presented his team's original research achievements and shared the research pathway from fundamental principle breakthroughs to industrial application, providing new insights and valuable references for material design and technical development of high-safety energy storage batteries.
